![]() Over the next two days, we found that statement to be suspect as we rarely saw another guest anywhere, and when I asked a staff member if they were busy, the response was no, it’s very slow. We were bluntly told no, there were no other rooms available so we were stuck with the awful room. Shortly after check-in we had requested a move to another room, due to a low floor (we had requested a high floor) the room looked directly at a construction site and the A/C seemed noisy (at that point we had no idea just how noisy it would become!). A reasonable sleeping environment is very basic to any hotel, and the Indigo failed completely in that regard. We can overlook housekeeping issues but not continuous sleep disturbances. Dirty glasses were left in the room, no clean glasses provided, no water replaced, and the bed not properly made up. As a very minor irritant in comparison, we found housekeeping to be a little careless. Friends who stayed on a different floor reported the same problem with a disturbingly noisy A/C, although they were spared the stairwell symphony due to location. At irregular intervals there were loud bangs, buzzes, rattles and knocks, which I assume emanated from pipes and pressure valves in the stairwell. Adding to the racket were a variety of noises from the other side of the room which bordered an emergency stairwell. Every 20 minutes or so, the individual A/C unit cut in with a jarring bang and loud roar, until it cooled the room and cut out. I am not a light sleeper, but the mechanical noises in and around our room were horrendous and prevented any semblance of sound sleep. However, in spite of the positive attributes, I can honestly say that I had two of the most restless nights sleep I have ever experienced in a hotel (and I have seen a great many hotels!). For the most part (with one exception), staff were very friendly and helpful. However, evening meals were not of the same high quality. We purchased the breakfast option, which we found to be a good deal, as well as a good meal. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom and nice shower. This hotel is quite attractive and appears welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel and next year on my return to Nashville plan to stay here again. Complimentary cookies and pastry in the lobby all day was a nice treat as well as infused water. We were walking distance from the honky tonks of Downtown, The Gulch, the Capital. A Kuerig coffee maker in the room was a plus. ![]() The beds were comfortable and fresh, lots of towels in the bathroom which was large and modern. The room was large and "L" shaped with windows all along one wall, we could see the river. I must say the photos don't do it justice. ![]() When our room was ready what a wonderful surprise that was. We had been on a red-eye so we hung out in the lobby, we were given drink coupons for the bar where we received more wonderful service. The food in the dining room was very good. This building was a bank and the hotel did a splendid job of using the existing structure, making it cozy and comfortable. The dining area is part of the lobby, the layout is open with a very high ceiling. Our room was not ready, we were given complementary breakfast coupons. Be sure and look for Andrea at the front desk, she is a jewel. More Show lessįrom the moment we arrived, early morning, we were greeted with smiles, graciousness and kindness, all while still being professional. I recommend the King rooms in the second tower. I would have given this a 5 star if the second room in our group had been better. We caught it two nights after coming in from dinner and both nights the music was excellent! Hotel staff all seemed friendly and professional. The lobby of the hotel has a very cool vibe - we hung out here each afternoon before going out. We took only one Uber ride to "the Gulch" for $6 each way. We valet parked our car and did not use it again until we checked out. It is away from the busy tourist Broad Street, yet very close to walk to all the attractions. I don't think they had time to request a move to another room so stayed put. Their shower was not functioning properly. The AC and toilet were both loud enough to interrupt their sleep. The other room that the two couples shared (2 Queens on the 4th floor in first tower) was not great. It was attractive, clean, quiet and comfortable. Our room (King on the 14th floor in second tower) was great. We stayed 3 nights and were on a vacation with two other couples. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Indigo in Nashville. ![]()
